British singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Ian Skelly releases his debut album, ‘Cut From A Star’ through Watertown Records. This is his first solo long player, having previously drummed for The Coral for over a decade.
The self-produced 11-track album, was recorded over the last two years at The Coral Caves on the Wirral, using a vintage Tascam tape cassette machine.
Skelly is joined on the record by The Coral’s Paul Duffy and Nick Power. Additional musicians include James Skelly and Miles Kane.
The music combines influences from Pink Floyd and ‘The White Album’, and leans toward the gentler side of psychedelia, emulating the techniques of 60s and 70s recording.
The CD is limited to 1250 copies and packaged in a gatefold cover with poster sleeve.
Special Limited Edition Vinyl is limited to 300. Click here to buy.
